Energy Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform the utility data analysis, end use profile, and maintain the EUI library of commercial facilities
- Perform on-site surveys of a facility's equipment and systems and how they are operated and controlled
- Write up field notes and meeting minutes
- Ability to learn what data to collect when on site taking field notes
- Know or learn how to do energy calculations, weather bin calculations, and energy modeling
- Write the building envelope, mechanical and electrical system descriptions for the energy services proposal.
- Assist with the Scope Development and Preliminary Design of the proposed systems.
- Learn the difference between the different IPMVP measurement and verification options, which ones should be employed on a per facility improvement measure, and what key variables should be measured to prove the energy savings
- Collect trends to be used in the M&V report and write up the M&V Report
