Overview
Located on approximately 10 acres of land adjacent to Florida Hospital, Apopka Health and Rehabilitation Center is designed with a split floor plan to provide resident privacy. The 101,811 square foot center includes 36 private and the 72 semi-private well-appointed suites. All resident rooms have individual bathrooms, each with its own shower. Enclosed exterior courtyards feature multiple access points and plenty of shaded areas to maximize resident comfort and relaxation. A large state-of-the-art therapy gym opens onto a courtyard featuring an occupational therapy track or mobility garden. Residents enjoy daily activities in addition to an on-site movie cinema.Responsibilities

Our community has an opening for a driven, passionate, and caring Physical Therapy Assistant. The responsibilities of the PTA include carrying out treatments under the specific instructions from the Physical Therapist, is alert to detect signs and symptoms of favorable and unfavorable reactions, record and keep current treatment schedules, RUG minutes, and assure timeliness of paperwork and chart appropriate records.

Qualifications
- Must hold and maintain current license as an Physical Therapy Assistant in our state. License must be in good standing
- Must have an Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
- One year of experience in a skilled nursing facility is desired
- Able to relate positively, favorably and motivate patients and families and work cooperative with others
- Observant and accurate in recognizing and documenting patient change
- Knowledge of principals involved in applying standard therapeutic procedures and a broad range of adaptive devices
