Procurement/Sourcing Specialist

We are seeking a Sourcing Specialist with a strong focus on contracting to join our team on a 4-month contract with a high probability of extension. This role offers a competitive pay range of $30-$44 per hour and is based in SeaTac, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week (Tuesdays preferred, with flexibility for the other two days).
Start Date: ASAP
The ideal candidate will bring at least 1 year of sourcing experience, including issuing RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and negotiating contracts with suppliers. This is not a Procurement Buyer role; the focus is on driving sourcing strategies, contract development, and supplier relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, manage, and implement contracts, extensions, and amendments while ensuring compliance with operational goals.
• Lead sourcing strategies, including supplier evaluations, RFP/RFQ/RFI development, and contract negotiations.
• Perform benchmarking to validate supply chain practices and implement best practices.
• Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Oversee the life cycle of commodities, from source selection to asset disposition.
• Negotiate contracts such as MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and DPAs.
• Provide mentorship and training to Buyers while driving operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Required:

o A minimum of 2 years of contracting and negotiation experience.
o At least 1 year of sourcing or procurement-related experience.
o Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field (or 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
o Proficiency in Microsoft Word (Excel and PowerPoint skills are a plus).
o Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
o Self-motivated with the ability to drive change and collaborate in a decentralized organization.

• Preferred:

o Experience in vendor oversight and performance management.
o Demonstrated success in maintaining customer and supplier relationships.
o Strong project management and team-building skills.
