If you join our team in this role, you will play a key strategic role crucial to implementing, managing, and optimizing configuration management processes and ensuring the integrity of configuration items (CIs) across a complex IT landscape.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

If you join our team in this role, you will play a key strategic role crucial to implementing, managing, and optimizing configuration management processes and ensuring the integrity of configuration items (CIs) across a complex IT landscape.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Configuration Management Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain the configuration management strategy to ensure effective management of all configuration items throughout their lifecycle.
- ITIL Processes: Utilize ITIL best practices to enhance configuration management processes, including Change Management, Release Management, and Incident Management.
- Database Management: Design and manage databases that track configuration items, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Asset Management: Oversee hardware and software asset management, ensuring compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configuration items, including attributes, relationships, and lifecycle states.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, and security, to ensure alignment on configuration management practices.
- Audits and Reporting: Conduct regular audits of configuration items and produce reports on compliance and performance metrics.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of configuration management.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR,
- Proven experience as a Configuration Manager or similar role, with a focus on configuration management processes and ITIL framework.
- Strong understanding of configuration items (CIs) and their management throughout the IT service lifecycle.
- Proficiency in database management and asset management tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CMDB, or similar) are a plus.
Clearance:
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
