Job Duties
- Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting key U.S. government space and defense agencies, including SDA, USSF, NRO, and AFRL, among others.
- Lead efforts to sell the company’s innovative satellite solutions directly to these agencies and their contractors.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders within government agencies, contractors, and industry partners.
- Identify, pursue, and secure business opportunities in space and defense sectors, aligning customer needs with the company's platform capabilities.
- Collaborate with technical teams to craft and present tailored solutions for satellite design, simulation, and operations.
- Oversee proposal efforts, including responding to RFPs, RFIs, and other procurement documents, ensuring timely and competitive submissions.
- Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and agency briefings, effectively communicating the platform’s capabilities and value.
- Stay informed on industry trends, government initiatives, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Technical degree in engineering.
- 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the space or defense industry.
- Proven ability to sell to government space agencies, including SDA, USSF, NRO, AFRL, etc.
- Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and familiarity with federal acquisition regulations.
- Technical understanding of satellite operations, space missions, or related aerospace systems.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is highly preferred.
- Track record of success in winning contracts and developing long-term partnerships.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Previous experience selling satellite simulation or software platforms.
- Background in technical sales or program management within the aerospace and defense sectors.
- Familiarity with digital twinning technology and open API integrations.
- Advanced degree in business or engineering is a plus.
- Must be able to obtain US Secret clearance.
