Job Duties
- Design propulsion system valves, actuators, and integrated components.
- Own the full lifecycle of propulsion component design, from initial concept through product realization.
- Develop highly integrated and complex fluid and mechanical system layouts.
- Create detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings using CREO.
- Conduct fluid, thermal, and structural analyses to ensure system performance.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to source materials, fabricate components, and assemble systems.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges with innovative and resourceful solutions.
- Participate in testing and validation processes to ensure high reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 6 years of experience with flight propulsion components, including cryogenic, high-pressure, and high-performance systems.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with fluid, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software, specifically CREO, with the ability to adapt to new tools.
- Proven ability to define requirements, conceptualize designs, and oversee procurement, fabrication, and testing.
Preferred Experience
- Advanced knowledge in designing and delivering high-performance, high-reliability propulsion hardware.
- Hands-on experience with in-space propulsion components and systems.
- Familiarity with analysis software
- Effective project management skills and ability to communicate technical concepts across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in an agile or startup environment.
Security Clearance
- Must be able to obtain US Secret clearance.
