Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Trach and Vent Licensed Practical Nurse LPN to join our team! As a Trach and Vent Licensed Practical Nurse LPN, you will be spending your workday in the client's home. You will be responsible for accurately reading patient vitals, making emergency decisions based on changing statistics, and administering medication per MD orders based on previous medical decisions. You will also be filling out client charts and handling related client care paperwork, as required. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, great attention to detail, and has the ability to work in stressful situations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately read medical documentation and charts and administer medicine as directed
- Evaluate changing client vitals to determine emergency medical needs
- Prioritize client needs based on current information available
- Communicate client condition to other staff members
- Perform evaluations as needed
- Adapt to a rapidly changing work environment without compromising on patient care
Qualifications
- Required state licensing to act as a nurse in a home care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- The ability to work well in a high-pressure environment
