Aqua-Chem is looking for a dedicated and skilled Water Treatment Service Technician to join our team and make a difference in providing clean and safe water solutions to our customers. In this essential field-based role, you’ll be hands-on with the servicing, maintenance, and optimization of water treatment systems for commercial and industrial clients, ensuring their efficient and effective operation.
As a Water Treatment Service Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting chemical testing, monitoring, and calibration of boiler and cooling water systems.
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining chemical-feed equipment and other system components.
- Performing visual inspections of systems to identify and address potential issues.
- Diagnosing water quality problems and recommending tailored treatment solutions.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing water treatment systems for a diverse customer base.
- Educating customers on system operation, care, and best practices to promote long-term performance.
This position demands a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, a keen understanding of water treatment processes, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in plumbing, water treatment, or HVAC are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in water treatment services, plumbing, or related fields preferred.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and water testing equipment.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Comfortable working in varying conditions, including confined spaces and outdoor environments.
Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Work Environment:
- Frequent travel to client locations, sometimes requiring flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
- Exposure to varying environmental conditions, chemicals, and water contaminants.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
