Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The Ultrasonographer will work closely with patients, ensuring their comfort while obtaining high-quality images for analysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to obstetric/gynecological/urology (Ob/Gyn/Urology) and diagnostic radiology procedures.
- Utilize appropriate medical imaging techniques to capture clear and accurate sonographic images.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure comfort during examinations.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology to accurately identify structures and abnormalities during imaging.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols throughout all procedures.
- Document findings and maintain accurate records of examinations performed, including relevant medical terminology.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in diagnosis.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and technologies to enhance patient care.
Qualifications
- Certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to ultrasonography.
- Experience in performing ultrasound examinations, particularly in Ob/Gyn settings, is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with aseptic technique practices within a clinical environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for interpreting sonographic images.
