Part Time 5th Grade Literature Teacher
All Saints Catholic School is seeking a part time 5th grade literature teacher. We seek dynamic and energetic candidates passionately committed to Catholic education.
Professional Responsibilities Include:
- Embodies and promotes the mission and vision of All Saints Catholic School
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Develops and implements a rigorous, standards-based curriculum
- Consistently creates a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning
- Plans for small reading groups (common novels or other resources, as well as allowing student choice in reading materials)
- Applies differentiated instruction and assessment that improves achievement for all learners in a learner-centered and collaborative environment
- Develops and uses effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluate student progress
- Uses technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process including iPads, Chromebooks, smart boards and online instructional platforms
- Establishes a consistent disciplinary approach which promotes self-direction and confidence; sets high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior effectively
- Communicates regularly with families and implements clear communication systems
- Cooperates with school administration; works effectively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents
- Completes additional administrative, operational, and professional responsibilities and duties as needed
