Assistant Director

Catholic Housing and Community Services (CHCS)is currently seeking an Assistant Director to oversee programs and work collaboratively with the management team to oversee CHCS.
Primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Responsible for oversight of senior centers, senior clubs and housing program and supervision of on-site managers.
- Liaison with Philadelphia Corporation of Aging and oversee compliance with contractual obligations.
- Oversee HR issues and with staff, hire and on-board new personnel.
- Diversify funding sources and prepare grant proposals and reports, and ensure grant compliance.
- In collaboration with Managers, develop and refine policies and procedures.
- Perform all required fiscal duties, such as budgeting, expense and revenue management and financial analysis to ensure appropriate stewardship.
- In collaboration with staff, utilize creativity to increase membership, outreach to seniors, implement new programs, etc.
- Liaison with the Archdiocesan Office for Communications to publicize CHCS' work, achievements, and celebrations.
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work or other related field from an accredited university required.
- Minimum of five years social service administration experience preferred.
- Experience managing staff and working through personnel issues.
- In-depth knowledge of fiscal management required; experience in senior services strongly preferred.
- Highly organized and strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to function as part of a team and to lead teams. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have a current driver's license, vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
