Job Summary
Role Overview:
- Administer and document medications by all routes except intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, except for insulin.
- Assist residents with impairments needing 24-hour oversight and daily living activities, housekeeping, and cleaning.
- Responsibilities align with Cardinal Ritter Senior Service philosophy.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare, administer, and document medications, excluding certain injections, in compliance with regulations.
- Perform blood sugar testing and administer insulin as ordered.
- Maintain glucometer calibration checks and documentation.
- Observe, report, and record residents' responses to medications and changes in their condition.
- Maintain accurate records of controlled substances.
- Order and monitor supplies, including medication reorders.
- Administer specified treatments and oxygen by nasal cannula as needed.
- Maintain oxygen systems daily.
- Record incidents, errors, and accidents.
- Conduct room checks and resident rounds.
- Assist with quality assurance programs and training new staff.
- Provide and promote customer service for residents, employees, and visitors.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements:
- Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing in Missouri.
- Completed Certified Medication Technician training program in Missouri.
- Completed or willing to complete Insulin Administration Training within three months of hire.
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
- Maintain all required certifications.
- Able to perform duties with minimal direction.
- Completed Level I Medication Aide Training Program in Missouri with at least sixteen hours of instruction and practice.

Pre-Employment Screening
