Six Sigma Black Belt
The Six Sigma Black Belt will be responsible for oversight of the LSS program through training, coaching, facilitation and leading of the Belts for projects aimed at improving processes, reducing defects, enhancing productivity and generating cost saving. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, analyze data, and implement solutions following Rapid Improvement methods through Kaizens or the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology.
This position reports to the Director of Manufacturing Excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Focus and support cultural transformation through coaching and mentoring Stake Holder, Sponsors, Belts and Process Owners
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Lead and facilitate Lean & Six Sigma projects from initiation to completion, following the DMAIC methodology.
- Train belts in Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Track the progress of the LSS program certifications and savings
- Conduct data analysis, root cause analysis, and statistical modeling to identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement solutions to address process deficiencies, reduce variation, and optimize performance.
- Monitor project progress, track key metrics, and ensure that project goals are achieved within established timelines.
- Provide regular updates and reports to project sponsors, stakeholders, and senior management on project status, outcomes, and impact on operational performance.
- Facilitate problem solving methods to plant leadership
- Lead Six Sigma project work that produces significant annualize project savings for Arclin
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with a strong understanding of Lean & Six Sigma principles and tools.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and executing successful Kaizens and Six Sigma projects, driving process improvements, and achieving quantifiable results.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and process mapping/tools.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The role is remote and may require up to 75% travel
