Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide assistance in daily living and personal care in patients homes or facilities in accordance to an established care plan. This role plays a key part in supporting clients remaining as independent as possible, while ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Living Skills: Support patients by providing housekeeping and laundry services; shopping for food and other household items; preparing and serving meals and snacks and assisting with eating; running errands; and other household management tasks.
- Personal Care: Assist patients by providing personal care services such as grooming, bathing and dressing.
- Transfer & Mobility: Assist patients with mobility/transfer needs, ambulation and other exercise.
- Companionship, Comfort & Safety: Provide companionship, comfort, and safety to the patient during the caregivers absence.
- Care Plans & Charting: Follow the assigned care plan for each patient and notifying staff nurses of a change in condition or unusual conditions of the patient. Record patient information in appropriate electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other applications.
- Professional Development: Attend quarterly in-service meetings to satisfy continuing education requirements.
- Company Culture: Always project a professional image and attitude while representing AAAWA. Must wear agency-issued identification at all times.
- Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or management to meet the needs of the patient and the team.

Requirements
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate issued from the state of Arkansas.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation and proof of state required vehicle insurance.
- Current negative TB skin test or state health card.
- Certified in CPR/First Aid.
- Must pass background checks, maltreatment checks, and drug screening.
