Assistant Junior Tennis Professional

Job Summary
- Welcome and greet members and guests.
- Communicate with members to better service their needs and wishes.
- Communicate with the Director of Racquet Sports regarding member concerns and suggestions.
- Teach private and group lessons.
- Assist with organizing, promoting, and conducting events and tournaments for adults and children.
- Some administrative duties including emails, phone duties, and computer work. Hourly compensation for all administrative hours.
- Candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
Ideal candidates will possess the following characteristics:
- Private country club experience preferred, particularly in member-owned clubs.
- Demonstrated record of previous success and achievement.
- Highly-motivated, self-starter with a high level of personal integrity and dependability.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as individually.
- Strong communication skills with both staff and members.
- Racquet stringing experience or willingness to learn.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High-school graduate or GED required. Collège or equivalent on-the-job training preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a country club setting preferred. Must have experience with first aid and customer contact
Physical Requirements
- Walking, standing, running and playing tennis are required daily. Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, swing, or otherwise move objects. In addition, involves physical movement which includes sports and activities related to tennis events and programs.
Visual Requirements
- This position requires close and distant visual acuity to perform sports and coaching activities.

Compensation
- Percentage of lessons
- Hourly rate for junior clinics
Hours: 3 pm - 7 pm (weekdays), with possible weekend hours
