Job Summary
A Restaurant Expeditor acts as a vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring that food orders are prepared correctly, assembled properly, and delivered promptly to guests. The expeditor maintains quality control, manages food presentation, and coordinates smooth communication between the front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Order Management
- Receive food orders from servers and relay them accurately to the kitchen staff.
- Monitor the progress of orders and ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Address any discrepancies or delays in orders promptly.
- Quality Assurance

- Inspect dishes for accuracy, presentation, and adherence to restaurant standards.
- Ensure that all orders are complete, properly garnished, and visually appealing before leaving the kitchen.
- Communication & Coordination

- Act as the primary liaison between kitchen staff and servers.
- Communicate effectively about order modifications, allergies, or special requests.
- Coordinate the timing of orders to ensure all guests at a table are served simultaneously.
- Food Handling & Safety

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expediting area.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Safeguard the proper handling and storage of food items.
- Problem Solving

- Resolve issues like incorrect orders, delays, or miscommunication swiftly and professionally.
- Assist in addressing customer concerns when necessary.
Candidate Qualifications
- High-school graduate or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Arizona Food Handler's card.
- 1-2 years of experience in service industry.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations.
- Bi-lingual preferred.
- Customer contact skills.
- Able to interact successfully with a variety of people.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Memorization skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to see detail at close range.
- Must have good written and oral comprehension and expression
- Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, and speak English.
