Join our Team as a Fire Sprinkler Technician
ARK Systems is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our Team. We want you to bring your skills to our well-established company!
The Fire Sprinkler Technician will assist in repairing and installing wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire protection piping, valves, and accessories for commercial, some residential buildings, and industrial applications in compliance with current codes.
What you bring:
- Three to five years of experience in servicing sprinkler systems and suppression systems.
- Proficient in following written and verbal instructions, with exceptional attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain productivity in the field, set goals, and meet service schedule.
- Competent in reading plans, documents, meters, and to discern colors for safety signage.
- Eagerness for professional development and growth.
- Experience using power and hand tools.
- Positive customer relations experience and skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Must have a positive and respectful attitude and maintain good working relationships with management staff and employees.
- Must maintain a good driving record (insurable through our insurance carrier) for driving to/from job sites.
- Willingness to achieve various certifications in the industry.

What you will do:
- Install, test, and repair fire sprinkler systems
- Troubleshoot system malfunctions and problems
- Knowledge of multiple types of systems and tests for proper operation
- Consults with client on system issues; provides recommendations for repair
- Uses blueprints or building plans to determine proper systems to install/service based on building layout and setting
- Inspects and tests systems; makes adjustments and repairs as required
- Replaces malfunctioning hardware when necessary
- Ensures systems comply with NFPA fire codes
- Explains and demonstrates system function and operations to end users
- Performs other related duties as required
- Be on call as required
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and asking pertinent questions
- Provide support for form development and maintenance of inspection form Follow design plans for installation jobs and communicate any design, perform service and deficiency jobs, and communicate and document any changes
- Responsible for materials delivered to site and for minor fabrication on job site.
Requirements:
Ability to pass various background checks.
Valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle.
Desirable (but not required): NICET I OR II, other manufacturers certifications.
Expected to function as the company representative on job site and may be expected to oversee the day-to-day work of other employees assigned to the job.
This role is designated as safety-sensitive due to responsibilities that could entail the use of motor vehicles, mobile equipment, and working at heights, climbing ladders, and utilizing lift equipment an ability to lift 150 lbs.
