Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Bilingual Licensed Counselor/Therapist to provide mental health services to our patients. As part of our dynamic team, you will assess, treat, and coordinate care for patients with behavioral health needs. This role also involves developing new initiatives, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and working closely with community partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and triage patients with mental health needs.
- Deliver brief, solution-focused therapy interventions.
- Make informed treatment and referral recommendations.
- Collaborate with clinical and behavioral health teams to coordinate patient care and ensure best outcomes.
- Provide emergency intervention as needed.
- Advocate on behalf of patients regarding rights and needed services.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Collect and report data for behavioral health grants.
- Provide staff and volunteer education on relevant behavioral health topics.
- Collaborate with community organizations for patient care coordination.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in a Mental Health discipline
- Active Virginia licensure as an LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT or other relevant specialty that allows for independent practice as a behavioral health therapy provider.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, written and spoken required.
- 3-5 years’ counseling experience, preferably in a community health or safety net clinic.
- Experience in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Proven experience in developing effective treatment plans.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by clients from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office Suite.
