Currently we have an immediate need to add an experienced:

Operational Support Engineer
Location: Chantilly, VA (on-site client environment)
Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Compensation: Competitive, Excellent Benefits

A strong technical leader looking to apply a multi-disciplined approach towards applying cybersecurity tactics to both offensive and defensive perspectives.  The ideal candidate will be able to apply cybersecurity best practices through technical penetration testing demonstration, systems engineering, and maintaining required computing server infrastructure.

Required Experience:
  • Must maintain active/current TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance
  • Approximately three (3) or more years of prior systems engineering (including requirements generation and specification writing) experience and activities generally in the field of penetration testing
  • Previous experience/training in the areas of software systems engineering and computer/network systems in a government environment.
  • Ability to research, analyze, prioritize, problem solve, and work several tasks concurrently with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of technology to support operations with best practices
  • Ability to document technical needs, in the form of specifications, for operational requirements.
  • Computer, server, and network security troubleshooting
  • Supporting network communications, cabling, software, routing, and data backups.
  • Atlassian Confluence wiki-based system software technology, clients, and servers.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and approximately three years of relevant technical work experience.
  • Understanding of computer systems, computer networks, and mobile networks along with a familiarity with technical capabilities and operations.
  • Understanding of current network security technologies.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds/cultures and communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
Desired Skills:
  • Be willing to enter into a customer sponsored penetration testing course.
  • Strong familiarity with commonly used large-scale service components (webservers, databases, load balancers, caching servers, storage clusters, etc).
  • Software testing and debugging skills a must
  • Experience with AWS EC2 provisioning and other cloud providers (Digital Ocean)
  • VMWare, vSphere, KVM, or equivalent virtualization experience needed.
  • Strong Windows and Linux skills including scripting both in bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl.
  • Hands on experience using and/or configuring IT tools such as Docker, Splunk, Git, ElasticSearch, VMWare.
  • Strong automation and orchestration skills using things such as Ansible, Salt, Docker, Puppet, etc.
  • Understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle.
  • Experience in automated software testing and validation.
  • Experience with configuring Windows and Linux servers, network appliances (routers/firewalls)..
  • Ability to research, identify, and test technology products
