The Aroostook Agency on Aging is seeking a dynamic part-time Philanthropy Officer to assist with our fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about nonprofit work and has a knack for building and maintaining relationships. As a key member of our team, you will help drive our mission forward by supporting our development efforts and fostering a strong donor community. This role will also be identifying new fundraising opportunities and ensuring the long term financial stability of the agency to support our mission of improving the lives of older adults in northern Maine.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of philanthropy, marketing/sales or equivalent experience required
- Bachelors degree in philanthropy, management, communications or related field preferred, associates degree required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with donor management software preferred
- Ability to follow detailed procedures for processing constituent data with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate directly and effectively with others
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Polished professional presence; the ability to interact with trustees and major donors as needed
- A passion for older adults and a commitment to our mission
Hours, Compensation & Benefits:
- Part time position, 24 hours per week
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Flexible schedule with potential of some remote work, but will work from main office in Presque Isle, ME
