Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical/Surgical position in the Respiratory Intermediate Care department. This is a contract position for an immediate start, with a duration of 13 weeks and the possibility of extension. The role offers a day shift schedule of 12 hours over 4 days. The position requires the RN to work every other weekend. You will be part of a 39-bed private room unit and work with Cerner EMR.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a Medical/Surgical setting
- Assess and monitor patient conditions, documenting care accurately
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and organizational policies
- Work every other weekend
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Medical/Surgical setting
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work every other weekend
