- Shift: Day (06:45 AM - 3:15 PM or 06:45 AM - 5:15 PM)
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
- Call Rotation: Required
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, with possible extension
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our team in the Operating Room department in Mason City, IA. This is a contract role with an immediate start date. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgical procedures, assisting surgeons, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons during procedures by preparing and passing instruments.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to strict aseptic techniques.
- Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies.
- Monitor and handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Requirements:
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technician in an Operating Room.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including on-call rotations.
- Current BLS certification.
