Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team for an immediate contract position in Waterloo, IA. This opportunity offers a 13-week contract with the possibility of extension, and you will work 12-hour shifts (3 days per week) during the day.
As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams on patients to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. You will work closely with the medical team to provide accurate images and support patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound exams (abdomen, pelvic, obstetric, etc.)
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
- Communicate with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort
- Provide clear and accurate results to physicians
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols
- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy
Qualifications:
- Current Ultrasound Technician certification (ARDMS or equivalent)
- Proven experience as an Ultrasound Technician
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
