Essential Functions of a Job Coach / Employment Specialist

• Transport person(s) to and from house, job site, community activity site
• Provide on-the-job assistance and coaching
• Some aspects of the job might include physical labor such as bending, assisting with lifts if applicable, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for long periods of time.
• Assist service recipient in working towards their goals and complete documentation daily to monitor and evaluate progress of service recipient(s)
• Any other tasks and responsibilities that are given to you by your supervisor.

• Basic computer and phone skills

Education and Experience

• Education in social work or psychology is preferred
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
• Training in mental health and first aid are preferred

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a working vehicle
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have active insurance on the vehicle you would be transporting your service recipient in for work
• Perform training at orientation and annually

• 10-40 hours / week

Pay

• $18 - $20 / hour

Benefits

• Signing Bonus ($500): New hires will receive a $250 signing bonus after their first 30 hours working at Arrowhead Community Employment. The second half of the bonus will be paid after 6 months of employment at Arrowhead Community Employment.
• Health, dental, and life insurance are available for Arrowhead Community Employment who regularly are scheduled 24 hours per week.
