Arvest Bank is Hiring a Closing Agent Near Hot Springs, AR

Work Type: Full Time

Position is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.

Position is located at 135 Section Line Road, Hot Springs, AR.

Summary:

SUMMARY: Under the limited direction of the assigned manager, the Closing Agent will work directly with the customers involved in each transaction to facilitate the closing of the transaction in an accurate, timely and professional manner while ensuring that the title company and lender requirements are properly met. The incumbent has the ultimate responsibility to ensure that the file is accurately disbursed, balanced, and that the proceeds are delivered. However, some of these takes may be performed by a Closing Processor and others may be delegated to a Closing Processor by the incumbent.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Facilitate loan closings by explaining the documents to customers and obtaining required signatures.
  • Determine what requirements must be met before closing by analyzing the title insurance commitments, real estate contract and lender requirements.
  • Prepare the more complex HUD-1 Settlement Statements for closings.
  • Disburse closing funds and balance the file.
  • Serve as a resource to realtors, buyers/sellers, lenders, builders, and other customers regarding closing procedures.
  • Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Two (2) years previous closing processor or equivalent related experience required
  • Licensed Notary Public required (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Associates Degree preferred

  • Must be able to operate personal computer keyboard in order to create reports, schedules and other appropriate documentation

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, use hands and arms to handle documents, utilize keyboard, telephone and calculator, sign documents, etc.

The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color, and the ability to adjust focus.
