Ascendo Resources is actively seeking an Accounting Clerk on an immediate, full-time, on-site, temp-to-hire basis!

Our client, a nationwide automotive parts company is located in West Springfield, MA 01089.

The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for data entry, posting payments, and business to business collections. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience and attention to detail. This is great opportunity for candidates wanting to jumpstart a career in accounting. Pay Rate: $18/hour - $21/hour

Hours: Mon - Fri (9am - 5pm)

Responsibilities:

• Advanced experience in collections diligence with a resolution approach
• Excellent negotiation abilities, complex problem solving, judgment, decision making, and critical thinking
• Ability to communicate with verbal and written proficiency
• Places and releases credit holds as outlined by supervisor and credit terms
• Administers standalone payment plans as necessary
• Obtain and mail invoice copies/statements for customers, as requested
• Processes daily credit card payments as required
• Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
• Researches and processes charge backs, returns, and bad checks
• Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up
• Perform other activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1 years of credit and collections experience preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience in credit & collections, accounts receivable management and billing systems is highly preferred.
• Strong customer service experience
