We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead and oversee the firm’s vendor management, third-party risk, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams. This executive will be responsible for ensuring a secure, scalable, and efficient technology ecosystem that aligns with the firm's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IT governance, risk management, cybersecurity frameworks, and vendor oversight, specifically within the wealth management or financial services industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a technology strategy that supports business objectives while mitigating risks.
- Provide leadership and oversight for vendor management, third-party risk, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure teams.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Identify emerging technology trends and assess their potential impact on the firm.
- Establish and maintain a vendor risk management framework to evaluate and monitor third-party providers.
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and partnerships with technology vendors.
- Conduct due diligence and ongoing assessments of third-party vendors to ensure compliance with security, performance, and operational standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of a robust cybersecurity strategy to protect client and firm data.
- Ensure compliance with industry security regulations (SEC, FINRA, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
- Lead incident response efforts, including cyber threat detection, mitigation, and recovery strategies.
- Work with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory cybersecurity requirements.
- Oversee network, cloud, and on-premise infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and security.
- Implement and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability of IT systems.
- Oversee the implementation of security best practices in IT architecture and data management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles within wealth management, financial services, or a related industry.
- Strong expertise in vendor management, third-party risk assessment, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to financial services (e.g., SEC, FINRA, NIST, ISO, GDPR).
