SUMMARY OF POSITION
The IT Support Technician provides technical support to internal users. They respond to incoming requests for I.T. support and resolve network, hardware, and software issues with computers, tablets, and phones.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responds to incoming help desk requests, resolving all client PC usage problems in a positive, timely manner, following up with the customer to ensure completion and documenting all work in Service Desk.
Responsible for supporting and maintaining client asset management including inventory, updates, repairs, and replacements.
Supports VoIP system administration related to employee moves/adds/changes.
Supports client/server software applications in support of business processes. Trains end user as required on system changes.
Collaborates with IT team to support execution of application changes, ensuring compliance and quality standards are part of deployment.
Works to minimize downtime by performing preventive system maintenance.
Supports third party applications that integrate with client/server software applications. (Microsoft Office, CATIA, AutoCAD, etc.)
Sets a superior customer service example with a positive attitude and a sense of urgency in responding to customer needs. Proactively anticipates and meets customer needs.
Collaborates throughout the organization, seen as a trusted business partner in accomplishing work.
Work independently and professionally to ensure the IT team is meeting business expectations.
Any additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
High School Diploma Required
Technical certifications in CompTIA A , Net , Security preferred.
Must have technical aptitude and an interest in PC support.
Prior experience in a desk side support role.
experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, Anti-Virus/Anti-malware tools, mobile devises and remote management tools.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in IT related field.

May be required to travel to other site locations during the workday and would primarily be local during the business day. However, some projects may require overnight stays as well as out-of-the-area travel paid for by the business.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to remain in a stationary state for extended periods / 50% of the time at a computer workstation.
Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
May access and work in the manufacturing plant, and therefore must be able to wear personal protective gear (PPE) when required. Examples include safety shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection.
While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, caustic chemicals, vibration, and moderate noise level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
