Summary
This position is responsible all aspects of the Drawbench operation including Safety, Quality, Production, and Basic Maintenance.
Job Description:
- Responsible for setup and operation of Drawbench.
- Responsible for quality, production, scrap, and basic maintenance.
- Adjust basic tooling and holding fixtures on machines.
- Perform visual inspection of parts to identify defects, and damage.
- Loading and unloading of assigned machine(s).
- Preparation of raw materials.
- Observation of machine operation to detect part defects or machine malfunction and report any issues to Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Responsible for basic housekeeping and safety of work area.
Qualification Summary
- One year previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with tools used in changeover.
- Experience with use of precision measuring equipment (Gauges, Calipers, and Micrometers)
- Demonstrated ability to follow basic work instructions.
- Must possess basic data entry and computer skills.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math.
- Demonstrate proficient manual dexterity and hand eye coordination.
- Ability to see details at close range to inspect for part conformity and defects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time operating machines.
- Ability to bend, stretch, and twist.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to change saw blades
- Ability to function with minimal supervision
- Ability to change cut lengths
- Ability to safely start/stop machines
- Ability to read/understand schedules
- Ability to utilize printer schedules
Educational Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:
- High School Degree or Equivalent
