The Supply Chain & Logistics Coordinator plays an important role in the planning, organizing and carrying out of large-scale projects. This position reviews data and then enacts a plan in order to make improvements to the supply chain system. They work to promote top-notch performance from workers and lower the overall costs of items used in projects. This position is the contact point for many large purchases made from outside of the company for projects. They ensure fair prices and negotiate with company representatives to set to it the parent company is receiving the best possible price for good solid. Additionally, has a detailed awareness of stock on hand and actively monitor what is being used and supports all departments by making sure they have the supplies and materials needed.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
- Create schedules, monitor stock levels of supplies and raw material to identify shortages.
- Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from all departments.
- Responsible for recording and ordering supplies, products and materials.
- Reduce the cost of handling and issuing materials to ensure the optimum cost /service balance is delivered to customers
- Create improved processes for the recognition and handling of obsolete stock and the rationalization of critical spares across stock holding locations
- Analyze data to anticipate future needs.
- Manage the health, safety and environment responsibilities for the warehouse in accordance with Company policy and procedures ·
- Minimize exposure to risk and ensure business compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Lead the ongoing improvement for inventory, materials management and purchasing processes.
Skills Requirements:
- Previous experience with Supply Chain Management is essential.
- Ability to streamline steps and locate the best prices for inventory
- Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with vendors
- Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed
- Top-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes
- Ability to research companies and determine the best vendors to reach out to for various projects
- Previous experience with Supply Chain Management
- Experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others relevant to company processes
- Good communication and organizational skills

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain or Business/Engineering
- 1-2 years’ relevant work experience
