We are seeking an experienced Drywall & Interior Systems Estimator to join our team at our headquarters in Fairfield, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in union drywall and ceiling estimating within the New Jersey and surrounding markets. The ideal candidate will have experience with Quick Bid and Onscreen Takeoff, along with strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Job Responsibilities:

• Estimate Preparation: Create detailed estimates for materials and labor to present to clients.
• Relationship Development: Build and maintain relationships with current and potential clients to enhance our market position.
• Blueprint Review: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand project requirements.
• Building Systems Knowledge: Understand the functionality of building systems and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Data Gathering: Collect relevant data to support and refine estimates.
• Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive quotes.
• Contract Management: Review and ensure compliance with contractual and insurance requirements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
• Bid Management: Prepare and submit accurate bid packages.
• Project Monitoring: Track project progress to ensure alignment with initial estimates.
• Cost Reduction Recommendations: Proactively suggest cost-saving measures based on project data.
• Issue Reporting: Report project-related issues such as material cost increases to management.

Key Requirements:

• Software Experience: Proficiency in Quick Bid required.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the New Jersey/New York market.
• Union Experience: Familiarity with union subcontracting, as we only bid union jobs.
• Location: Preference for local candidates; relocation expenses are not covered.
• Team Environment: Work alongside a team of four highly skilled and seasoned estimators and one life-saving administrative assistant.

Additional Details:

• Target hiring window: Between now and April.
• No hybrid work options available; full-time office role.
• We are a commercial UNION subcontractor and do not bid open shop. Familiarity with this is vital.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
