About the Role:
Asphalt Green is looking to hire a Martial Arts Instructor at to lead a Saturday afternoon class for neurodivergent and developmentally disabled children. The role is focused on creating an inclusive and supportive environment where children can build confidence, discipline, and physical skills through martial arts. Classes are held at our Battery Park City location at 212 North End Avenue in Lower Manhattan.
The hourly rate is $40.00 an hour. As a plus, all employees use our facilities (fitness centers and pools) so no need for a health club membership!

Responsibilities:
- Conduct adaptive martial arts sessions tailored to participants' needs and abilities.
- Develop exercises to enhance motor skills, balance, coordination, and self-discipline.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding participants' progress.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure smooth class operations.
- 3-5 years of experience in martial arts instruction, particularly with children and individuals with diverse abilities. A background in adaptive martial arts or therapeutic recreation is preferred.
- Certification in martial arts instruction.
- Experience in planning and leading inclusive activities.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
