What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at Associates Systems LLC?
Mechanical Designer
-5 years of mechanical design experience coming from a sheet metal, aerospace, or boat manufacturing industry
-Solidworks required AutoCAD knowledge preferred
-Produce and develop 3d model files from 2d documentation
-GD&T standards and tolerance
Document welding and design processes, on engineering drawings.
Modify existing engineering designs to improve manufacturability and efficiency.
Design new products and solutions on new and existing platforms.
Produce accurate and compliant 2D documentation from 3D model files.
Familiar with military and industry standards to include ASME-Y14.5, ASME Y14.24, ASME Y14.34, MIL-STD-31000B, MIL-STD-973, and D1.1 Structural Welding Code.
Able to speak Spanish is a plus.
Able to obtain security clearance is a plus.
