Description:

Overview of Scheduler Role and Skills:

- Looking for someone to have ability to collect pt info and insurance info

- Understanding what should happen in different appointments and prepare the patients so they have what they need

- Will actually put the patient on schedule for the practices (general or specialty)

- Computer skills: coding in Cisco account, Meditech , and documenting all at the same time

Candidate Description:

- Scheduling Specialist is required to maintain a working knowledge of all areas and modalities of the Centralized Scheduling Department

- This position is responsible for the scheduling, pre registration of patient appointments, and collection of patient demographics to include the referral and insurance authorization requirements to provide maximum financial reimbursement

- Types of Appointment scheduling: varies but can be for primary care, specialty practices, out patient services (test and diagnostics)

- Mostly customer base is patients and internal on behalf of patient

- Huge Hospital located in Frederick, MD with room for advancement to other departments as well!
