What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Astro Seal, Inc.?

QC Duties
- Program Nikon VMA-2520
- Program/manage Zeiss CMM Spectrum and O-Inspect
- Calibrate tools in house
- Obtain quotes, write purchase orders, and oversee tools going out for calibration
- Review quality requirements on purchase orders from customers
- Manage AS9100 Rev D and NADCAP documentation and audits
- Manage final inspection including AS9100 FAI reports
- Facilitate supplier support (questions and rejections)
- Manage quality related audits
- Manage corrective actions
- Train employees in inspection and quality related matters
- Perform yearly internal audits with a team
- Conduct bi-yearly management review meetings
- Conduct internal corrective actions, as necessary
Requirements for Position
- Manufacturing experience preferably in aerospace
- High school diploma or GED required
- Be able to read procedures & blueprints
- Be able to measure with hand measuring tools
- Computer knowledge required (Microsoft office, email, etc.)
- Experience programming CMM measuring equipment (touch probe & optical)
- Be able to effectively communicate within organization and outside organization
- Experience with customer audits preferred not required
- Be able to manage and implement corrective actions internally, with suppliers, and customers
