- Looking for a Part-time or Casual employee, approximately 0-29 hours/week. Willing to travel to many of South Eastern MN locations in Caledonia, Rushford, La Crescent, Osage IA.

Qualifications:
- Required:
- Graduate of an accredited school/college of pharmacy.
- Licensed as a Pharmacist in the State in which you will be working (MN/IA)
- Must be willing to travel to various Sterling Pharmacy locations
- Preferred:
- Detail oriented and very organized
- Able to handle a high stress environment
- Two or more years of Pharmacy experience in retail/community setting
Job Description: The Float Pharmacist will provide pharmacy dispensing and consultation services to Sterling Pharmacy patients and have direct communication with Pharmacy Managers, Store Managers, and/or District Managers.
Core Competencies & Responsibilities:
- Travel to various Sterling Pharmacy locations to assist as a Float Pharmacist
- Receive, process, fill, and check prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner
- Respond to all patient inquiries in a timely fashion
- Provide the best possible service to patients
- Adhere to policies and procedures related to pharmacy operations
- Abide by all statutes, rules and regulations related to pharmacy practice, both State and Federal
- Represent Sterling Pharmacy as a pharmacist to the general public and at professional events
- Collect appropriate information for billing of Medicaid and Medicare for DME and supplies
- Ensure that patients are counseled on all new prescriptions and on any refills where there has been a change in therapy or patient condition
- Address and resolve patient/employee complaints in the absence of pharmacy manager
- Be prepared and willing to perform pharmacy technician and customer service associate duties, as necessary.
- Stay current with the latest information on drug therapy and side effects
- Complete continuing education requirements of the Board of Pharmacy
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Create a culture of positivity and excitement in the pharmacy/store
- Maintain CPR certification
- Complete training/certification for administering immunizations and maintain competency
Performance Requirements:
- Thorough knowledge pharmacy practice and law
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Must be willing to travel
Physical Requirements & Work Demands:
- The ability to maintain a flexible schedule including early morning, evening and weekend hours
- In a typical 8-hour day lifting or carrying items up to approximately 25 lbs.
- In a typical day standing approximately 8 hours
- In a typical 8-hour day spending 2 hours on the telephone
Working Environment:
- This position will be in a typical retail pharmacy setting at one or more locations and is of normal climate and temperature.
