Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting, screening, and interviewing applicants, as well as keeping up to date on local hiring laws and regulations. This position will also assist with the orientation process and on-boarding, and other duties in connection with hiring great team members.
This position plays a vital role in the selection and engagement of A-Level Caregiver talent to assist our clients. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of caregivers and clients!
PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High-school diploma or equivalent is required; some college preferred.
Certifications:
- None required
Work Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience performing these duties for a non-medical senior care
Successful applicants should meet these requirements:
- Have a high school diploma
- Experience in Recruiting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable making decisions independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
- Solid understanding of Louisiana employment laws and regulations
- Familiar with a wide variety of sourcing avenues
- Must exhibit a high degree of time management, multi-tasking, interpersonal, professionalism, confidentiality and effective communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements
- Stay abreast of recruiting and retention trends and best practices
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, perform phone screenings and conduct face-to-face interviews
- Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations
- Perform background and reference checks, driving records, OIG, etc.
- Manage onboarding and new hire process
- Plan and assist with orientation classes for new hires 1-2 times per week
- Coordinate with Schedulers and provide all new hire information and availability
- Assist with conducting caregiver trainings
- Responsible for Caregiver Retention and Recognition through acknowledgement and incentive programs
- Monitor and verify signatures and documents
- Keep a record of new applicants for the hiring process
- Send I-9 documents to payroll
- Prepare orientation package and complete thorough and precise Orientation for all new hires
- Assist with planning and conducting orientations
- Create and manage files for new Caregivers
- Communicate with scheduling team to identify needs
Other Functions
- Provides courteous and prompt service to all internal and external clients. Prioritizes and addresses requests and assignments in a professional manner to develop cooperative relationships and to ensure that employee/client confidentiality is assured.
- Identifies opportunities and recommends methods to improve service, work processes and financial performance, e.g. expense management. Assists in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
- Assists co-workers in the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service. Orients new co-workers and actively supports teamwork throughout the organization.
- Performs other duties as required.
