Director of Real Estate Development

Director of Real Estate Development required on a full time basis, working for a premier global real estate firm based in Dallas. The ideal Director of Real Estate Development will have a proven track record in industrial development, demonstrating expertise in managing large-scale projects from inception through to completion. The main responsibilities for the Director of Real Estate Development will consist of:

• Leadership & Strategy: Oversee and direct all aspects of real estate development activities, including site selection, acquisition, planning, design, construction, and marketing.
• Project Management: Manage the end-to-end development process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
• Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and feasibility studies to identify and capitalize on development opportunities.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, contractors, government authorities, and community organizations.
• Financial Oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, financial models, and proformas. Ensure the financial viability of all projects.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all developments comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of real estate professionals, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Urban Planning, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate development, with a significant focus on industrial projects.
• Strong leadership and project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex development projects.
• In-depth knowledge of the Dallas real estate market and regulatory environment.
• Excellent financial acumen and experience with budgeting and financial analysis.
