Purpose :
Reporting to VP, Strategic Finance and Chief Accounting Officer Bermuda, this position is responsible for leading capital management activities. This includes partnering with Finance, Risk, Investments, Actuarial valuations and all businesses to understand capital requirements under base case and projections as well as stressed market conditions for all Bermuda legal entities. This also includes working with other team members to help identify strategies to support the effective deployment of capital and understanding the implications of the deployment of capital, such as its earning pattern and economic value.
Accountabilities :
- Develop capital forecast for Bermuda entities to help lead key business decisions
- Analyze quarterly Bermuda capital reporting and maintain a projection process (understanding inputs, drivers of results, perform variance analysis, and provide management reporting)
- Manage the legal entity capital projection process (dividends, contributions, M&A transactions, Reinsurance, etc.)
- Partner with Risk, Actuarial and Finance to measure capital needs under business as usual and stress conditions; assist in the refinement of the Bermuda financial projections
- Assess and analyze evolving and newly emerging regulatory and rating agency capital requirements and recommend actions where appropriate
- Provide insight to the company's capital position and develop recommendations to the business
- Partner with Finance leaders on rating agency support, capital management transactions and other matters
Qualifications and Experience :
137,796.00 - $206,694.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
