The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. About the Role:
The Manager I, Donor Services plays a critical role within the Development Operations team, ensuring a seamless and positive supporter experience for Food Bank donors while aligning donor services with broader organizational goals. This position oversees daily gift processing and data entry, upholds data integrity standards, and drives continuous improvement by implementing actionable operational plans and fostering cross-department collaboration. As a hands-on leader, the Manager I supports, coaches, trains, and addresses team challenges in real-time, ensuring productivity, engagement, and adherence to performance expectations. Collaborating with fundraisers and other teams, this role resolves donor-related issues, ensures data accuracy, and maintains alignment with donor intent. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Development Operations and Analytics, the Manager I builds a motivated, high-performing team and advances the Food Banks mission through operational excellence.
What Youll Do:
Strategic Alignment and Collaboration:

Align team activities with broader organizational objectives through actionable operational plans.

Foster cross-functional and cross-departmental engagement to address shared challenges and improve efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement by streamlining workflows and adopting innovative tools or methods.

An active contributor in documenting and identifying gaps in Donor Services operations, policies and procedures.

Manages the return mail process , ensuring all is handled by the end of each quarter.

Submits acknowledgment letter templates to applicable fundraisers for annual review; updates templates with revisions.

Maintains a relationship with lockbox vendor, and ensures mail sent from them is resolved.

Actively seeks improvements for donor services operations.
Oversees Data Entry and Management

Oversees daily gift processing, acknowledgement, and other Donor Services tasks.

Monitors teams use of CRM to ensure coding and procedures are followed consistently.

Builds and maintains import profiles in ImportOmatic to streamline and enhance data integration.

Works with Individual Giving/Institutional Advancement teams on proper coding, donor attribution, and matching and employee giving programs.

Coordinates data clean-up projects and duplicate record management.

Pulls and analyzes reports from various Development platforms.

Assists with donation processing as needed to ensure timely and accurate completion.
Leads a Successful Team:

Execute department strategy by translating goals and initiatives into actionable plans for the team.?

Manages the Donor Services teamensuring team members are productive, engaged, and meeting performance expectations.?

Trains the team on processes, policies, and procedures.

Provide hands-on support to team members, guiding them through challenges and offering real-time coaching and feedback.?

Monitor and evaluate team performance, implementing improvement plans and ensuring adherence to organizational standards.?

Facilitate communication between staff and upper management, ensuring clarity on expectations, priorities, and progress.?

Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.?

Foster a positive team environment, promoting collaboration, accountability, and strong morale within the department.?

Manage Donor Services print material inventory and oversee vendor relationships, including scheduling service for onsite repairs.

Track and report team metrics to department leadership, identifying areas for improvement and successes in meeting goals.?

Experience processing donations from Luminate Online, TeamRaiser, Classy, ACH, a lockbox, and mail and using ImportOmatic plug-in.
