What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Finance Associate position at Atlantic Group?
Our client, a leading $1B AUM venture capital firm in the healthcare and technology sectors is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to support its growing portfolio.
This is a hybrid role of 3 days in-office, 2 days remote. This role offers exposure to a range of financial, operational, and compliance functions, reporting directly to the Head of Finance & Operations and serving as a key player in the non-investment team.
Key Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting
- Manage quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and transparency across multiple entities
- Support investment valuation processes by working alongside deal teams to assess and update financial data
- Assist with fund-level budgeting and oversee capital calls, distributions, and fund audits
- Work with our audit and tax partners on reporting and tax requirements, ensuring compliance across all entities
Investor Relations & Reporting
- Prepare and ensure timely delivery of financial and performance metrics to investors
- Manage financial data for fundraising, annual presentations, and ad hoc requests, tracking fund and deal-level returns over time
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee cash activity, fund subscription lines, and vendor relationships for IT, cybersecurity, CRM, and other essential tools
- Assist in compliance and regulatory requirements, working with legal teams to maintain filings and VC exemption standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of fund accounting experience ideally in both public and private sectors
