Our mission at Industrial Flow North America is to be the best solution provider for our customers across all markets, and to achieve this mission, we are hiring a Business Development Manager to strategically expand the Varisco gear pump line. As a Business Development Manager, you will utilize your expert gear pump and industry knowledge to lead the planning, development, and launch of the Varisco brand across the United States. Additionally, you will:
- Lead the development and execution of the annual business and marketing plan, including the pricing strategy.
- Act as the subject matter expert for Varisco products, technically, and applications.
- Work closely with the manufacturer to share product development feedback, market and channel needs.
- Manage all quotation functions: sizing, selection, pricing; creating and issuing the quotation document.
- Maintain regular contact with the Sales Organization, keeping them up to date on new announcements, providing support materials and emphasizing key areas of focus to support sales objectives.
- Manage production of all sales support materials, advertising, and promotion plans for assigned segment/product lines.
- Build and maintain relationships with OEM customer counterparts and participate in product planning meetings with OEM customers.
- Manage the development and analysis of market surveys to discover concerns, opportunities, and to define improvement needs.
- Create training curriculum for new employees and the sales team.
You will have the following education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Advanced knowledge of internal gear pump technology
- Minimum of 5 years industrial sales, marketing, or related background in industrial B to B market and/or capital equipment.
- Experience presenting technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
