We are looking for a talented Accounts Payable Manager to join our team specializing in Finance for Atmus Filtration in Nashville TN, Hybrid-3 days a week in office – (Tuesday to Thursday in office days)
Manages a team that processes accounts payable transactions. Team includes supervisors and indirect reports.
Responsibilities:
- Manages accounts payable supervisors of a team of accounts payable staff within the established accounting policies of the corporation.
- Works with other areas of Finance to ensure appropriate cash management.
- Manages the review of work methods and procedures; considers the impact of any changes on the overall organization; develops and implements changes in those methods and procedures to improve the efficiency of the accounts payable unit.
- Acts as a point of escalation for complex, non-routine accounts payable issues and problems.
- Provides input into and manages the annual operating plan for the work area.
- Manages, coaches, and mentors' supervisors and accounts payable analysts; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues; delegates work assignments considering employee skills and development needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Review and approve invoices for accuracy, including matching purchase orders, verifying pricing, and checking for discrepancies.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and address any invoice issues.
- Review and approve payment batches, ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of accounts payable specialists, assigning tasks, providing training, and performance evaluations.
- Identify opportunities to maximize cash flow by taking advantage of early payment discounts and managing payment schedules.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging analysis, to provide insights into financial health.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud related to accounts payable.
- Manage accounts payable systems, including updates, data integrity, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance, or related subject required.
Base salary range: $115,539 to $128,375/yearly
