What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Warehouse Worker position at AtWork Personnel Services?
As a General Warehouse Team Member, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the accurate receipt and shipment of products within the distribution center. You will be a key member of the team, working to prepare orders for customers who rely on our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Receive and unload inbound materials, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
- Process inbound shipments and stock materials in designated areas.
- Manage customer returns and notify management of damaged shipments.
- Perform various warehouse duties, including:
- Pulling and assembling customer orders.
- Checking outbound orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Conducting inventory stock checks.
- Restocking, labeling, and organizing vendor products.
- Moving, storing, and replenishing materials.
- Conducting daily cycle counts as required.
- Pick, package, and ship materials in a professional manner, representing Composites One and its suppliers.
- Maintain the integrity of materials by following proper handling and storage procedures.
- Ensure work areas are neat, clean, and organized at all times.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years of related warehouse experience, including order picking, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, pick/pack, and RF Scanner use.
- Familiarity with FIFO, OSHA requirements, safety practices, and hazardous material shipping.
- Forklift certification is a plus. (Training and certification provided by the company, with willingness to train required.)
- Ability to learn and navigate internal database and software systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Moderate to heavy physical activity; ability to lift up to 75 pounds independently.
- Ability to walk and stand for the entire shift. Regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, or crawl; may occasionally be required to sit, climb, or balance.
- Ability to reach, grasp, push, and pull with hands and arms.
- Good vision, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Must be able to adjust focus and possess good hand-eye coordination.
