Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled AV Home Installer Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining state-of-the-art audio and video systems in residential homes and commercial/retail spaces. Candidate should have a technical background, solid problem-solving abilities, and a passion for creating the best possible home and business entertainment experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. System Installation & Setup - Install and mount TVs, projectors, screens, speakers, and other audio-visual components. Run, terminate, and organize various cables (HDMI, Ethernet, speaker wire, etc.).

2. Configuration & Calibration - Calibrate audio systems (surround-sound, multi-room audio) for optimal sound quality. Configure video systems (home theater projectors, screens, smart TVs) according to client specifications.

3. Troubleshooting & Maintenance - Diagnose and resolve technical issues with equipment, network connections, and integrated systems. Provide routine maintenance, including firmware updates and performance checks.

4. Client Communication - Communicate effectively with clients to understand and meet their system requirements. Educate clients on proper system operation and maintenance.

5. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate records of installation processes and service visits. Report project status, issues, and resolutions to supervisors and project managers.

6. Compliance & Safety - Adhere to company and industry safety standards throughout all phases of installation. Ensure compliance with relevant building codes and electrical regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; technical certification or vocational training in electronics or a related field a plus. 1 years of experience in residential or commercial audio-visual installation preferred. Familiarity with home automation systems (e.g., Control4, RTI, Crestron, ) is a plus.

• Technical Skills Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics. Basic networking knowledge (IP addresses, routers, switches) is beneficial. Comfort with power tools and hand tools for mounting and installation. * Soft Skills Strong communication and customer service skills. Excellent time management and organization. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to [50 lbs / 23 kg]. * Comfortable working in tight or elevated spaces (attics, crawl spaces, ladders). * May require standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods of time.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various client locations.

• Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings or weekends, as needed by client demand.

Pay: $19.87 - $21.59 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
