- Support Groups: Lead Kid’s Support Group and Teen Support Group to provide a safe space for healing, growth, and peer connection.
- Parent Collaboration: Work closely with non-offending parents to offer trauma-related education, focusing on developmental and behavioral interventions that strengthen family bonds and improve children’s social and emotional skills.
- Prevention Education: Be a positive force in the community by delivering prevention education on topics like bullying, conflict resolution, gender respect, teen dating violence, and sexual assault to local schools and organizations.
- Crisis Response & Advocacy: Offer support to adult clients as needed, including safety planning, crisis intervention, writing orders of protection, court advocacy, and hospital accompaniment.
- Answering Crisis Calls: Serve as a critical lifeline by responding to both our crisis line and regular office calls with empathy and efficiency.
- Community Outreach: Be the face of Avalon Center, engaging with community organizations to spread awareness and create strong support networks.
