Job Overview
The IT Manager is responsible for leading and managing the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation across multiple sites. The IT Manager ensures that all technology aligns with the organization’s strategic goals while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
Job Responsibilities
The role involves comprehensive management and maintenance of all IT systems, including servers, networks, hardware, software, and cloud services, across multiple organizational sites. A key responsibility is to ensure the reliable connectivity and functionality of IT systems to support both remote and in-person operations. The position requires oversight of data security, backup processes, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard organizational information. Providing timely and effective IT support to staff is essential, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues promptly.
The role also entails developing and executing an IT strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and supports future growth. Evaluating and recommending hardware, software, and cloud solutions to enhance efficiency and service delivery is a critical component, along with leading IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, or new technology implementations, to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Contract negotiation and management with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants are key responsibilities, as is preparing and managing the annual IT budget to ensure the cost-effective use of resources. This includes tracking and reporting IT expenses while ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
Compliance with data privacy and security regulations, such as HIPAA or GDPR, is essential, along with establishing and maintaining IT policies, procedures, and best practices for staff use of technology. The role involves conducting regular IT audits and risk assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities. Additionally, training and supporting staff on IT systems, applications, and cybersecurity protocols are critical for fostering a technology-savvy workforce.
Collaboration with leadership and program teams to identify technology needs and solutions is a fundamental aspect of the role. Building strong relationships across departments and sites ensures IT solutions are aligned with and enhance organizational goals. Education
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
Preferred:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or similar

Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Work Experience
Required:

Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.

Experience supporting IT infrastructure across multiple locations or a distributed workforce preferred.
Additional Skills Required

Strong knowledge of network administration, cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace), and cybersecurity.
