Primary function:
Our Account Manager is a revenue increasing individual who is responsible for maintaining relationships with current clients, addressing their technical needs, seeking opportunities for upselling, and finding opportunities for expanding the company client database.
Overview
A successful Account Manager or AM will manage customer relationships, expectations, and liaise with internal teams from Operations, Service Delivery, and Administration, to ensure customer success. This is a direct, customer facing, process-oriented role, where there must be participation in safeguarding company revenue, client retention, account growth, and the spearheading of efforts to modernize existing client infrastructure.
Additionally, the AM manages the client’s technical proposal process and ensures that all technical information and recommendations addressing client requirements are accurate, properly defined, and detailed.
Further, the AM ought to be able to apply basic troubleshooting skills to issues where necessary, and with this in mind, is also responsible for developing statements of work, and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for products and services needed and/or required, complete with justifiable evidence of “task to objective achievement” processes.
The main AM Responsibilities:
- Visit with Points of Contacts (POC’s) on existing contracts at least monthly.
- Regularly communicate with assigned accounts, set expectations, and negotiate priorities appropriately.
- Assist with the client onboarding process.
- Staying in scope, interfacing with client and internal sales team when scope changes to better accommodate client need.
- Continually develop and build strong client relationships.
- Engaging with client support as a client advocate to ensure speedy resolution of client issues.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industry through strategic customer acquisition and strengthening current client relationships.
- Design and develop innovative solutions to client requirements with contract growth in mind.
- Create customized proposals and quotes based on client requirements.
- Work closely with the sales team, service, operations, and customer support to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Document, track, and support compliance with clients’ Service Level Agreement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Proven experience in account management and sales
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in negotiation and business development
- Experience in B2B sales and marketing
- Familiarity with technology sales tools like Salesforce
- Ability to analyze data and warm calling techniques
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
