If you are a communications professional who is passionate about producing impactful content to diverse stakeholders over a wide variety of channels, look no further! AVE is currently seeking a Brand Communications Associate to execute its reputation and omnichannel messaging strategies within existing and new communications and marketing programs including but not limited to social media with a focus on LinkedIn, brand campaigns, talent acquisition/retention, internal communications, resident communications, and ESG/CSR, ensuring they meet or exceed performance KPIs, as well as align with the brand's values, vision, and mission.
This is an entry-level, collaborative content marketing role that will have exposure to all functions within a high-volume, hands-on Marketing & Communications team supporting a growing national portfolio of first-class residential communities.
They will report directly to the SVP, Communications, be an active member of the AVE Marketing & Communications team, and work closely with Property Leadership and cross-functionally with Brand Departments including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, HR, IT, Operations, and Asset.
This position will be based 100% on-site at one of our Pennsylvania or New Jersey properties, with travel to other AVE locations nationwide approximately 10% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Brand Communications (60%)
- Develop brand social media calendar, produce/execute all content, and respond to all social engagements to drive brand social media strategy
- Serve as LinkedIn channel manager to deliver solutions for all aspects of the business including but not limited to Company Page presentation and Sponsored Job Post execution to support Talent Acquisition strategy; LinkedIn Navigator account management to support Sales; and own Profile branding workshop to drive brand standards
- Serve as Communications Lead for all Talent Acquisition/Retention requests including but not limited to social marketing, email marketing, web marketing, and job fair/recruiting materials
- Serve as Communications Lead for nonprofit partnerships, supporting with contract and partnership activation, web marketing, volunteer opportunities/internal promotion, brand campaign marketing, team member engagement/training, and impact reporting
- Serve as Communications Lead for all sustainability initiatives, ensuring strong storytelling across all channels to drive reputation
- Execute Internal Communications plan in collaboration with SVP, Communications
- Project manage Brand Campaigns for regional and brand awareness and community engagement
- Participate in PR calls and support with campaigns and initiatives, as needed
Resident Communications (20%)
- Serve on Resident Emergency Communications team - be on-call, shifts rotating with three other team members to provide 24/7 coverage to execute emergency communications for portfolio of residential communities to deliver strong communications and service excellence
Department Coverage (20%)
- Provide coverage in the following areas in the event the Marketing & Communications program lead is out-of-office:
- Marketing Portal Ticket Management
- CMS Content Execution
- Property Operations/Property Event Resident Communications
- Property Social Media Post Execution
- Property Social Media Engagement
- Online Reputation Support
Requirements:
- B.S. in English, Writing, or Communications - will consider Marketing/Advertising degrees with Social Media focus or concentration
- Proven experience writing communications or producing content for a brand/business (may include internships)
- High proficiency with social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- The ability to remain calm and perform under pressure - you will need to ask questions and provide guidance/solutions and send communications for property emergencies
- Tech savvy and quick to learn digital systems
- Strong project management, organization, and follow-up skills
