Parts Specialist - Ogden, UT
Averest, Inc. is a leading provider of specialized battery and charger solutions for the airline ground support equipment industry. With our deep industry expertise and strong partnerships with top manufacturers, we deliver customized solutions to meet our customers' unique needs. Following another year of record sales, we are expanding our team and looking for a motivated Parts Specialist to join our Ogden, UT office.
Role Overview: The Parts Specialist will play a key role in supporting customer sales, internal service parts requests, warehousing, and shipping/receiving functions. You will ensure efficient inventory control, manage stock orders, and assist in all aspects of the parts sales process, ensuring our operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee parts sales and kitting activities
- Manage shipping and receiving functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Track and manage warranty parts and returns
- Participate in inventory control processes, including cycle counts and assessments
- Work with warehouse manager to ensure timely and accurate kitting of work orders
- Deliver assembly kits and related documentation to production teams
- Maintain appropriate stock levels by generating and expediting stock orders
- Perform receiving and administrative duties
- Assist in the delivery of parts to service technicians or shipping carriers as needed
- Pick up parts from local vendors
- Maintain a clean and organized parts warehouse
- Ensure efficient inventory stocking, facing, and organization
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of parts control experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant education is a plus
- Proven experience in order-taking, shipping, and handling delicate items
- Strong understanding of parts department operations and inventory management, including cycle counting, special orders, and purchase order policies
- Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving processes
- Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Excellent computer skills with accurate data entry and communication
- Familiarity with Netsuite is a plus
